Nikon D300 Setup using Nikon Camera Control Pro
D300 owners,
Would you be kind enough to share your saved setup file (*.ncc file) for the D300?
Thanks.

Hi chester,
I'm not familar with NCC files. Are these settings which are saved into a file and can be loaded into the D300?
If so, I'd like to know how to do it. This is very useful in saving different settings.
Regards,
M

Re: Nikon D300 Setup using Nikon Camera Control Pro
i found out that these do not matter much when shooting RAW.. tried some custom settings here and there (i assume that's what you're asking for.. i haven't memorized all the *.xyz's of the camera yet) but when my brother loaded the pictures into LR .. *poof* custom settings gone.
these are mainly out there if you're not much into RAW.
i also think there's another thread like this out here.. i'm just too lazy to search .gif)

Re: Nikon D300 Setup using Nikon Camera Control Pro
Mike,
Yes, ncc files are the settings that you store in the D300 4 custom settings bank. Like when you have a favorite setting you can save it and load it but this is through Nikon Camera Control Pro software. Aside from tinkering with settings you can also shoot by the click of the mouse. Try it.
Cedrick,
I guess that's one reason you'll need Nikon Camera Control Pro to save the settings so that you'll never have to memorize.

Agree with this... Unless you're using Capture NX to convert your files to jpeg, then the custom curves are useless (goes the same for picture controls, etc.)
The custom curves only matters when you're shooting jpeg, which this is applied...

Re: Nikon D300 Setup using Nikon Camera Control Pro
Thanks Chester. I dont have the software. I checked the Nikon site and it comes as an 180USD option.
During the search, I came accross some picture controls (portrait, Dx2, etc) which I downloaded. Instructions says you save your own settings. I'll try it tonight.
Sorry, I'm not so familar zig zags of my cam.

Re: Nikon D300 Setup using Nikon Camera Control Pro
Mike,
You can download the software latest version is 2.2.0 and look for a "workaround" for the serial if you know what I mean.
I can't attach the ncc file here since the valid extensions are gif and jpg.
