The Ruins, Talisay City, Negros Occ.

I got to go to The Ruins in Talisay during my weeklong Bacolod vacation. This is the Lacson ancestral home (at least, what's left of it), built in the 1920's and burned down during WWII. It is now being developed as a heritage site by the Javellanas (not too much I hope).

I took a few shots of the place and did some post-processing to create some mood and drama, and to compensate for the bad afternoon lighting i had to settle with.

Mostly adjusted color and contrast, added a little vignetting.

Gear: D80 + sigma 18-200 OS/nikkor 50 1.8

Nice sa Talisay! I have been in Bacolod for 5 eyars but I havent got the chance to go there.

Were there any dodge-burn done (specifically on the wall detail and the angel head pics) ?

for the wall detail, it was all curves adjustment.

for the angel head, i did burning to add a more controlled vignette.

I got sloppy with straightening up the pictures and fixing distortion though.
