Nice to see you're using rain cover for your gear.

HSM is pretty fast, comparable to nikkor AF.

Re: Sigma 70-200 F2.8 EX DG Macro HSM

hsm is indeed fast, and focus is accurate in lowlight

200mm, f/2.8, iso 200, shutter 1/60, fired flash

Re: Sigma 70-200 F2.8 EX DG Macro HSM

Ari - Looks like your a big fan of Sigma lenses. You have the 50mm 1.4 hsm, 24-70 hsm and this one too!

The 70-200 hsm sigma lens is great, CA is just a bit evident and a tad soft at 2.8. Great lens for the price.

Any full frame sample w/ this lens?

Re: Sigma 70-200 F2.8 EX DG Macro HSM

ryan - yeah, ever since picking up the 50mm 1.4 i've been a believer of sigma. the lens just blew me away (and it was a lot cheaper than the nikon 1.4 g counterpart, 8 k difference during photoworld) i can't afford the nikkor line-up yet that's why i decided to go all sigma. i also have the 10-20 (talk about being a fan boy haha). i sold my starter nikkor lenses - 18-200 and 18-55 to complete the line up.

i agree with the cons of the lens (if only the 70-200 VR were just 2/3 of its current price =S) though, i don't have a full frame camera yet. i decided to upgrade my lenses first before buying a body, as i haven't outgrown my d40 hehe. i'll try to borrow a full frame camera though for testing.
