Same here, just got mine. exchanged it for my sigma 12-24 uwa. never been happier now to test drive the lens for a shoot. aesthetics wouldn't matter to me as long as the motor inside works oh and i have the macro version...

I've been using the non-macro version for 3 years... very well-built... fast focussing... stunning sharpness... well-saturated colors. The only thing I don't like is the strange bokeh textures it provides compared to my other fast fixed focal lenses.

now im confused.. guys, any price update regarding the following lenses?

1.Nikkor 80-200 f/2.8
2.Sigma 70-200 f/2.8
3.Nikkor 70-200 f/2.8 --> a friend told me that you can get this baby for 75K. is this true?

1. this is around 44k in hidalgo
2. i believe its still at 50k
3. if you buy it from the states, yes. it's $1,549.95 from BHphoto. roughly PHP71,+++

it's heavy, especially na hindi ka sanay. but, it's a gem it was even reviewed on DPP issue #7 and it got 90% nuff said get the lens already

i got mine 2nd hand, from a friend here in Davao. he got his monster already so he was disposing the lens. traded my sigma 12-24mm for this then added cash.... the good part is gives sya so everybody happy hehehehehe i'll post some shots in a bit, it's in my flickr pa kasi
