Re: Sigma 24-70 2.8 EX DG Macro

Let me just give this thread a bump...

Here is my share of sample pics I took from last Saturday's Gawad Kalinga Event along Central Ave. QC.

These pics were taken by my Sigma 24-70 f/2.8.. In my humble opinion I think it is one very capable lens.

Miggy: not sure if it's the PP, but focus seems a bit off with all the pics...

Thanks for the feedback David.. What do you mean by the focus being a bit off? Can you please be specific so I'll know if it was my settings, or it was the PP that I did.

Re: Sigma 24-70 2.8 EX DG Macro

I was a bit lucky because I was able to use both Sigma's 24-70 f/2.8 and it's counter part Tamron's 28-75 f/2.8. I used the sigma for more than a year and used it for events such as weddings and debuts, I find it very reliable in low lights and its so called macro capability, however, when I used the tamron I was surprised of its performance in terms of the faster focusing compared to sigma, no noise at all while focusing, the color and I find it sharper than the sigma. sigma @ 24mm f/2.8 is extremely soft. compared to tamron's. tho the sigma's macro is better than the tamron.
