Re: Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DG HSM DC

I dunno about the lens cap... Doesn't it look like it could scratch the lens if you're a little careless putting it on?

Re: Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DG HSM DC

Tried some shots indoors, not sure if the shots i got are sharp enough. Can anyone share indoor shots and outdoor shots on 100% crop. Thanks!

Will it mess up the HSM if i accidentally turned the focus ring while it was still autofocusing?

try doing test shots on a newspaper on the wall at different focal lengths and apertures. take the shots so that the newspaper fills the frame. then you can see where it's sharp by looking at the letters

Shot i take on a brick wall. Noticed it was sharp on the center, but a tad soft on the other areas. Do you guys have the same results?

Re: Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DG HSM DC

Care to share addt'l details of the shot; how far were you from the wall? aperture? shutter speed? and focal length used?

From my view, the corners do look soft -- but is expected, to some tolerable degree of this lens. The lower side of the image, from left to right, is more soft than the other three corners. The camera may have been slightly tilted while shooting the wall. Nothing alarming, in my opinion...

Go shoot the outdoors; any real-world problems you may have with the lens will manifest on your images when you're out there.

Cheers!

Focal length was 10mm, ISO200, F8 approximately 1.5 - 2ft from the wall. Forgot the shutter speed.
